To all the art teachers who have once told me, ” There are no rules in art. Explore it. Feel it. Be free~”

Fuck you.

We should include basic academic drawings, anatomy studies, perspective studies, colour theories, and all other basic drawing skills back into our art curriculum. Stop being delusion with all the abstract shit. You can never do good abstract stylised art if you don’t even know how the real thing works. Picasso can drawing a proper human being ok. Seriously “Be Free~” art teachers should stop misguiding their students. Like me. Only realising how I can’t draw a proper head 25 years later since I started learning. Only realising how my basics are so shaky and I should have learnt them when I am like, 13 or something. Of coz there are born talents who just naturally figure those things out themselves. Too bad I am just a peasant and I can’t “feel” perspective without some logic and theories to back myself up. And no bloody teacher taught me those theories. The closest thing I have learnt are from the “how to draw manga” books.

Or maybe I should have spent more time on reading those proper drawing books. Instead of closing my eyes when I see the words. Maybe I just thought too highly of myself back then. Oh gosh why chip why you can’t draw why didnt you go learn proper drawing.
